VisionSpring Celebrates One Millionth Pair

General Discussion No Comments

VisionSpring celebrated its one millionth pair of eyeglasses provided to an individual in need with a small gathering of donors and optical industry leaders in Manhattan. The home of financier Steven Rattner provided the backdrop for the organization’s founder, Jordan Kassalow, OD, to thank those in attendance, and all the contributors that have helped achieve this milestone. “Tonight we’re celebrating our one millionth customer,” said Kassalow, who added that in addition to the fact that 70 percent of those million were in the last three years … “This year alone we’ll serve 455,000 people, so we expect to get to the next million in a year or two.” The 10-year-old organization operates in 18 different countries with offices in New York, India and El Salvador.

VisionSpring brings high-quality, low-cost vision care to neglected communities across the developing world.
