Upon the receipt of a recently pledged endowment, Tomorrow’s Vision Foundation will soon support families interested in growing their families through legal adoption. April Is Women’s Eye Health and Safety Month
To educate women about sight preservation, Prevent Blindness America (PBA) has designated April has Women’s Eye Health and Safety Month. According to PBA, women are more susceptible than men to vision impairment, comprising more than half of Americans (2.6 of the 4.1 million) age 40 and older who are visually impaired or blind. Send A High-Five Campaign
Noting that approximately 2 percent of the global population, almost 200 million people, have intellectual disabilities (ID) and many are affected by some type of vision loss, VSP Vision Care (VSP), has launched the “Send a High Five” campaign, a program which will provide comprehensive vision exams, follow-up eyecare and related services and materials for up to 50,000 Special Olympics athletes across the U.S., a total donation valued at $43 million, the company said.
