National Eye Exam Month
With the final days of summer and “back-to-school” preparations ahead, August is also a month dedicated to eye health. Designated National Eye Exam Month by Sears Optical, as well as Children’s Eye Health and Safety Awareness Month by Prevent Blindness America, the next 31 days are expected to encourage awareness and business amongst eye doctors and optical retailers and their patients and customers.
Sears Optical, which founded National Eye Exam Month in 1989, is running special offers again this year to encourage eye health among their customers. On Aug. 15, they will be giving away a $250 gift card to a chosen CraftGossip reader, the value of which is available for use at any Sears Optical store in the U.S.
Prevent Blindness America (PBA) is drawing attention to the occasion by insisting parents have their children’s eyes examined before the start of the school year. Complete details are available at VisionMonday.
